Feeling Like Christmas

Hello Lovelies,

Its two days to Christmas...and you know how that feels like...Sooo 'Christmasy'.  And to express my festive mood, I went for this yellow long sleeved dress w/ draw string detailing on the side. The design which is a bit dramatic, was a big Plus. I am leaning more towards summery happy hues this season, like this sunflower yellow as they are cheery and bright.

Feast your eyes on the pics below, I hope they set you on the festive season mood...

LIKE A BOY

Hey Loves,

It's just another beautiful laid back Saturday morning, and here is just another one of my menswear inspired looks comprising of some of my wardrobe staples : blazer and chino pants. To add on to the boyish vibe, I settled for the slate blue brogues and for a touch of femininity I opted for the soft subdued hues. The final result was an ensemble that I feel good enough to run my weekend errands in.

WHAT I WORE: GRID PRINT ON GREEN

Happy Monday Loves!

Here I am again, after a long eventful weekend...
Today's post is on a dress that I wore to an event a few weeks ago. It is just simple but very pretty. I absolutely loved the grid print on the bodice and the bright metallic green appeal on the lower part. It appears that I do not have any pics of me alone taken from the event. So I will share some that I took with my sister and friends and for the full ensemble by myself, I had to have some taken at the studio.

BRIGHT LIME: PART II

Hope your Friday is coming along well. Is it?

To dress up this pretty frock, I opted for a pair of bright pink strapped heels and accessorized with a bright pink bib necklace and bright yellow bangle.
The result : A Cocktail of beautiful blending bright colours!

So, are you afraid of bright colours, and more so, super bright colours? I urge you to give it a try.
A great way to slowly introduce the trend to your wardrobe is by purchasing brightly coloured accessories and handbags.

BRIGHT LIME: PART I

Hope yours is an awesome Saturday!

Just thought that this beautiful bright lime chic shift dress  would work best when dressed down for a sunny laid back (at least for me) Saturday like this one. Aside from the bright colour, the subtle high low design and the fact that its a shift dress was also endearing to me. The shift design flattered my body shape as it made for a fuller silhouette (yyyaaahh -just one of the some-what skinny girls problems). It also makes me feel free and light.

To dress it down for my lazy Saturday, I paired it with these 'vintage' tan brown leather sandals and tote, and accessorized with the stone beaded neck piece and sunny yellow bangle. And now for the finished look...see pics below.

NATURE TRAIL

Happy Thursday!

I have been away for a while, but now am back. And am more than great full to be here right now.I took an outdoor trip to the park some time last week just to have a little bit of time by myself to unwind,to reconnect with nature, busk in the sun and to enjoy the aesthetic beauty.

For my little trip, I went for this sleeveless scarf print dress, with deep plunging necklines both at the front and at the back. The prints on the dress blended perfectly with the environment and the clay brown colour on the dress complimented my skin colour. To top off my look, were these simple yet very pretty and comfortable leather sandals and this candy PVC tote that perfectly picked out the turquoise colour on my dress. By the way, this cute PVC tote is made of pure plastic, hence water resistant and is also very strong and durable. See how I styled it here as well. The carefully hand crafted African inspired stone beaded necklace that I improvised into a bracelet also blended well with the prints on my dress. Now for the pictures...

PS: I really enjoyed my me time. It was so refreshing! Just what I needed!

PASTELS, STRIPES & POLKA

Hey You, Happy Friday!

There are those days when you wake up not wanting to think much about what you're going to wear, and you just want to jump into something simple and move on to tackle the day. This was one such day. I went for this pair of silver grey fitting chino pants, paired it up with a pin striped fitting top and threw on a rose pink one buttoned coat. I also had a few business dealings to handle and so I wanted to appear a little bit 'business - like'. And No No, I wasn't gonna put on a pair of heels as I was busy as hell and was running late. I needed to be in a position to move in speed. So I wore my pair of black flats. I find them a little bit cliche and I stand guilty as charged. This is an offence that I commit too many times. But hey, desperate times call for desperate measures.

Am also very pleased to announced that moving forward, my shoots will be based outdoors. So you got something exciting to look forward to. As we venture into the weekend, check out one of my go-to-outfits.
